I was anxious to read this book, not only because my cousin Judy is the
author, but wanted to learn more about sea otter life.
It is amazing to me that after all this time Judy was able to tell her
story with such detailed information. I was able to follow Judy and
Turk through Prince William Sound as they managed to catch and research
these otters, while undergoing a multitude of problems along the way.
Judy and Turk are an exceptional couple who were only married a short time
before setting out on this journey. As Judy assisted Turk through this
thrilling adventure, it became apparent that they learned about one another
as true survivors.

A white-headed male sea otter paddles on his back, patrolling his territory, while he rubs his round fuzzy face with his dexterous forepaws. Suddenly, he notices a young couple on shore and pops straight up in the water to have a better look. As two people stare back at him through a high-powered telescope, these three have one thing in common-curiosity.
