The author does a masterful job of helping the reader understand what it would be like for a child to go from unfortunate circumstances to a loving home. I recommend this book. I have enjoyed it, and my wife has enjoyed it every Christmas for the last six years.

Rocky can't believe she's been abandoned by her mother, when she is thrust into the frightening new world of foster care.She also doesn't understand the beautiful music and adoring love she heard and saw as she lay near death in the darkness.Her foster family tries to help her find peace and to learn to trust and love again. But peace doesn't come until she learns of Him of whom the angels sing, and proves His power by trusting in Him.
