(More customer reviews)Diane Simmons' tale of an early coming-of-age tells a somewhat different tale than the review listed here by Kirkus reviews. I found my readership engaged with the story being told, not so much because of the attachments that story has with everyone's coming-of-age, but because that telling's sharp details do foretell one's life in all its strangeness. The title of this book rings true from page to page, which makes it MORE of a story, not less!
