This is a good story, though I wouldn't go as far as some of the others have in praising it. It's enjoyable to read. The protagonist overcomes a very difficult life and finally finds peace with himself and the world.
But too many parts of the story are unrealistic. Not only is this guy the fastest runner in the world (able to shatter records by a minute or more) but he also has a photographic memory that makes him in some ways a genius. Other parts of the story fall into place too neatly. The protagonist commits a murder, and the detective is able to piece together EXACTLY what happened just by looking at the scant evidence left behind, but fortunately for the runner the detective decides not to pursue the case.
In addition, this self-published book has too much of a self-published feel. There are too many grammatical and typographical errors, in addition to factual errors (Dubai is NOT a part of Saudi Arabia, for example). It could have used some better editing and proof-reading.
I enjoyed reading it, but it's probably a better book to check out of a library than to buy.
