Bought this rack with the hopes of being able to take 2 scooters with us when we go camping in our RV. Currently my wife has a small 125cc scootter and I am in the process of restoring an old Vespa, but still many months away before it is finished.
The first issue with this rack is it says it will carry 2 motorcycles, which maybe so, I can only guess if the handle bars are removed, because the spacing between the 2 runners (what the bikes sit on) are so close together it would be a very hard fit 2 dirk bikes side by side. Realized immediately that there is only enough room for one scooter, scooters by nature are much wider than a dirt bike becuase of the floor boards.
Second issue is when you insert the carrier into the reciever, there is so much play that the whole carrier rocks back and forth.
The Third issue. On our way back home from using this rack for the very first time, the runner, just behind the front wheel, twisted so that the bars that stick out on the sides of the runner where you attach the tie down straps, one bar was about 3 inches lower than the runner on one side and the bar other side of the runner was about 3 inches higher than the runner and the back wheel of the scooter was hanging off the runner completely. Had the scooter tied down on 2 points in the front and 2 points in the back. The reason the runner twisted is because the side plates that are welded to the runner buckled causing the whole unit to twist to the side. Now, T-Motorsports advertises the rack as being able to hold 1000 lbs. My scooter weighs only 210 lbs and it was the only thing we were carrying on the rack, we didn't have a second bike. How does a product that is rated to carry a 1000 lbs gets twisted and buckles when carrying 210 lbs. Here is the link for the specs on the scooter we own.

It show the bike only weighs 210 lbs.
Forth issue, T-Motorsports... I called T-Motorsports to ask for a return authorization number. The girl who answered the phone didn't want the hear what happened with their rack, she just asked if I would email pictures and they would get back to me. I sent an email and explained what happened and even sent pictures of this massive 210 lbs scooter that twisted their 1000 lbs capcity carrier and here is their complete response.
"Sorry about that. We offer you $40 refund and you keep the item. Can you repair by yourself? Thank you. Cammy"
Seriously, I was stunned and just started laughing.
My response back:
"The product can't be repaired. It would be easily enough to bend the steel side panel back into place, however now that it has been bent, the next time a load is put on carrier again, the steel will bend in the same place. The product isn't any good anymore.
I will send it back to you or delivery myself for the full purchase price of $169.90." This time it appears her manager responded:
"This is a 2 bike carrier, and it looks like it's overloaded damaged, we do not accept return for overloaded damaged item. the best i can offer is $80 and you keep the item."Really, overload damage by a 210 lbs scooter for a carrier rated for 1000 lbs.If you are interested in buying this rack system from T-Motorsports, you better ask yourself, do I want to gamble with a product that will probably fail from a company that DOES NOT stand behind their product!!!
Personally, I will never do business with this company again...
