(More customer reviews)I have owned this carrier for 3 years and I have to say that chariot makes the highest quality carriers on the market in my opinion. The benefits to a side carrier are the ability to view you child with ease vs turning around to a trailer, the ability to use a trail-a-bike, utility or child trailer in conjunction with the side carrier. The negatives that I found are. 1, the tire wear. 2, the hitch weighs 1Lb 10oz and if you have a bike with expensive light weight components and your concerned about your bikes total weight this is problem, and it's not practical to remove the hitch when not in use. 3, if you ride on sidewalks the total width of the bike & carrier may be problem depending on you cycling skills. 4, if you use panniers on the right side of the bike it will affect your right turning ability. 5, clearance issues if you have a front fender. The unit handles very well. Other than that it's a very cool design and you surely wont run into many people using the sidecar.

Schwinn M3 Double Jogger Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this for my 11 month old and my 3 year old. My oldest son's head goes way beyond the seat (he's 37.5"), and he was laying on the mesh. Also, the top of the seat has a metal bar, so his back/neck would be laying on it. However, he was so excited about the new stroller (and wanted it to work), he went and grabbed his "blankie" and used it to make a pillow. He told me he was comfortable, but my fear is on a long jog, he'd decide it didn't feel good. I initially ordered this b/c I loved the huge canopy. The canopy is larger than other jogging strollers, but the material feels cheap - it's not the same material that I have on my single jogger. The seats also seemed to be very reclined, even when up as far as they'll go. My youngest was not happy in the stroller. So, I'll be sending this one back, as the negatives outweigh the positives. Oh - and the basket shown on the stroller does not come with it - it's an additional $15 or $20 to get that.

Schwinn Turbo Bike Trailer - SC775 Review

(More customer reviews)We've had our Schwinn Trailer for one year. My daughter enjoys riding in it very much. There is a place for her drink, and the seat is comfortable enough that on longer rides she falls asleep.
I bought one of those seats that fits on the back of a bicycle, but it wouldn't fit. The back fender of my bicycle was too wide for the seat, and we didn't want to force it. I'm glad it didn't fit. The trailer is just great. It rolls smoothly on inflated rubber tires. I'm careful when turning that I don't hit curbs, the trailer turns very well. My daughter has room to wiggle her feet, without kicking me, she is protected from the sun, and mosquitoes with the cover and the bug/debris net. The side windows are easy to see out of. She enjoys riding in the trailer, and sometimes we even take the neighbor's granddaughter with us. They both fit comfortably (remember less than 100 lbs) It's a great purchase.

(More customer reviews)i did quite a bit of research online (comparing descriptions, reading reviews, etc.) and thought this would be the best bike trailer for our family. we decided to not go super cheap and couldn't afford a $500 trailer so this seemed like it would work.
PROS: the price, it was easy to assemble, it looked good, and would be easy for our daughter to see out of.
CONS: the seat was like a sling that didn't have much support so our daughter was slouched, there was only 2 layers of fabric between our child and the ground, and the cover attaches with a long thick line of velcro, so every time you want to get your child in or out, or get into the back compartment you have to rip open the cover, which was difficult to line up and cumbersome in general.
the cons out-weighed the pros so we returned this trailer, and found a burley d'lite for $100 more at a warehouse store that has a great padded seat, better harness and strap hooks, easy clips for opening and closing the cover, and a movable sun shade panel which gets more use than i would have expected

Aosom Elite 2in1 Double Baby Bicycle Bike Trailer and Stroller Review

(More customer reviews)The description is not correct for the Elite version. The rear wheels are not "quick release". Instead there is a solid axle and caps on the ends to hold the wheels on. Which brings us to the next flaw. The trailer bar cannot be flipped under and locked into place because it hits the axle. The rear wheels are not aluminum as advertised. My 3 year old daughter is too tall because the seat support is in a bad position (not like this on the normal version) Because of this, the sides cannot be folded down when the top bar is folded. Instead the top bar must be removed completely (normal version does not have this problem). Once assembled it seems sturdy. I have not used it yet, and I'm not sure I will. The normal version does not have these problems. When converting from stroller to trailer, you will need tools to remove the brake cables. I will update this review when I have more information.
Update: I have talked to Aosom, and they have corrected some of the "typos". There will be design changes, but probably not until next years model.

Booyah "Swivel" 3in1 Double Baby Bike Trailer & Jogger Red Review

(More customer reviews)After reading and looking at the pictures on Amazon, The Other Auction site, and the Other Local Classifieds site, I found that this seller is about 45 miles from my house. So we went to look at it and pick one up. Everything was exactly as described and is somewhat above what you'd expect for this price.
Here are the reasons the price is lower.
It is made of steel and not aluminum, which would've saved some weight but cost a whole lot more. The steel is powder coated well, but if you get a chip make sure to either touch it up with paint or always keep it dry so that no rust can form. I still expect it to last rust free in california weather for quite a few years.
The other thing I saw was different from the more expensive trailers was the side window. The side window is made of a thinner plastic than the hard thick ones. It does make it a bit vulnerable to tears in the plastic, so just be careful.
Great things, the bike hitch folds below the trailer providing protection as well as convenience. The wheels are humongous.
I'm going out with my kid now, instead of writing more about it.

It does NOT have a stroller attatchment, and one was never made. I talked to to Aviner Customer Service for an hour, while the guy tried to make things better...But it was no use, there wasnt really much he could do.
That being said... I rate this product 5 stars as a bike trailer. It is amazing! Very comfy seats with thick cushions (comparitevly) with lots of storage in the back. The dome style is great for keeping bugs and dirt out and also doubles as a sun canopy. A wind/ rainshield is also included. It looks and feels alot more expensive than it was. Avenir customer service was great.
Amazon However....I will NEVER do buisness with again. Shame on them for False Advertising!!!!

Schwinn Mark III Double Bike Trailer and Jogging Stroller Review

(More customer reviews)Well designed light aluminum unit. Both sides are rigid and fold up from flat. A cross bar is attached to the back soft panel which attaches at the top to complete the frame. The cover has to be snapped on and off each time to use it. Side windows are rigid. The jogging handle and wheels are then added without requiring any tools. It takes about two minutes to assemble.
The bike attach bar and front wheel attach bar fold under and easily swing out for either use. Once assembled, it rolls great, even on the beach(same results when tested with a 6 and 4 year old). Turning is a breeze since the kids are sitting on the rear axle and and have a low center of gravity. Storage will hold two backpacks, and is covered. Unit will keep kids and gear completely dry in rainy environments. The only issue we have is that the back of the seats is a panel running from the axle to the top cross brack and does not recline when the kid falls asleep. Finally it fits fine in the back of my Venture minivan (so long as I clean out all the books, coats, juice boxes, toys, and general accumulation of my wife's adventures with the kids. but that is getting off topic).
I would buy it again.

Burley Jogger Kit for Bicycle Trailer Review

(More customer reviews)I was confused by the instructions and thought that I was missing pieces for this product because it did not slip right in the way the instructions implied it would and the list of items present included parts that were already assembled. I had to go to the Burley web sight for more clear instructions. Using this as a jogger I would say that the handle for the trailer is not as stable as I would like, it slips despite being as tightened as I can get it with my bare hands (I have the D'Lite Euro trailer). Also I centered the wheel as the instructions indicated and it still seems to pull to the left. I am also not a big fan of the design since I thought it would be better if I could use the trailer towing arm as one of the wheel braces, this is not the case. I am not an engineer so I can't say that this is even possible but it would be a whole lot more convenient. This is not a quick change over product, I thought I would be able to tow the trailer to a location add the wheel then stroll after using it once I would say this is not a realistic.

(More customer reviews)After doing significant research on bike trailers for children, I opted for Croozer Designs brand because it got great reviews from a few bike enthusiasts. The 525 model has separate seats for each child, as in separate "hammocks" on each side for each seat - many other brands of double trailers have a single "hammock" with two seat harnesses, resulting in both children eventually leaning in towards the middle and each other. The 525 seats remain separate and flat and a very comfortable ride even for taller children.
Assembly of the trailer was relatively easy, although I put the front bumper on upside-down the first time - beware.
There is a lot of storage space behind the seats.
The screen and rain cover included are sturdy, fit well, and store easily.
Installation of the trailer hitch on the bicycle is very easy, although I had to insert the screw in the opposite direction (as mentioned in the instruction manual might be required) which meant a little more work.
Attaching and detaching the trailer is a piece of cake too.
The only downside is finding vendors who sell the Croozer 525, but Amazon came through and had the best price.
Overall, I have been thrilled with my purchase!

(More customer reviews)This is my 2nd bike trailer, the first was an Instep brand. I hated it! I returned it- the main reason was the seats were TERRIBLE! My daughters were basically suspended from their crotches by the time we got done with our first (and last) ride. So the most important feature I was looking for when finding the Schwinn PR150 was comfortable seating...with which I am fully satisfied. These seats are big and cushy with comfortable harnesses.
Other reasons I am happy with this purchase:
-Easily converts to double stroller (includes wheel- no need to purchase seperate kit)
-Cool updated look- a little newer than most trailers
-Comes with zip-off weather protector
-Storage area behind kid's seat
-Large storage pouch on the back
-Large storage and cupholder thing on handle (when used as stroller)
-Very easy to set up
-Very easy to convert from trailer to stroller and bar that hooks to bike folds under nicely.
I would definitley reccommend this product. It's worth the extra money and the quality surpasses the Target one I originally bought. I also looked into Burley, Ive heard good things about them, but decided on this because it was about a hundred bucks cheaper and came with conversion kit.

Burley Encore Bike Trailer Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this trailer after comparing it to the d'lite, chariot cabriolet and the croozer 525. The d'light was out of our price range, the chariot had plastic parts and expensive ad ons and I could not see a croozer(plus it weighed 33lbs) in person. So that left the Burley encore. I was able to compare both the d'lite and the encore in person and both had nice solid bench type padded seats and nice five point harnesses with solid buckles instead of d clips. They each had sun shades and zip up weather covers as well. The seats are almost the same size but the d'lite bows out for more elbow room. After comparing the two we decided the d'lite although nice was not worth the extra cost. The basic features we wanted were all in the Encore including a solid padded seat, padded harness, sun shade and the zip up weather cover for less money. It was easy to set up and I only had to install the wheel guards. Attaching the hitch was simple too. I have a 3.5 year old and a 10 month old and they both fit comfortably in this trailer. I did a test run with the trailer kid less and it pulled and turned well. I could not even feel it behind the bike! Then I put the kids in and could not feel them in there either! Amazing! Very light and easy to pull, tracks well. We're loving it so far and have used it on windy cold rainy days. The kids stay warm and dry. Highly recommend!

(More customer reviews)The day after I received this item I hurt my knee and haven't yet been able to use it; however, we unpacked it and put it together. It was really easy to assemble and then to disassemble and store. ALL the packaging except for one little plastic tie and a 1" foam tube was recyclable - AWESOME! It seems fairly straightforward to attach it to my bike, with a small piece that goes on the bike and stays there. The trailer "hitch" then pops into that when I want to tow it. I have a cruiser bike, so I have yet to see how it fits with my particular bike, but it seems like it will be okay. It also smells really strongly of rubber or plastic - but I think it's the rubber on the wheels. We put them away separately to air them out a bit. I have one child for whom this was intended, but it ends up that my son (9 years old and 55 pounds) could actually fit in it if he had to. The instructions say not to have a child over 50 pounds in it to avoid an imbalance of weight, so I wouldn't PLAN on doing this. BUT in an emergency it would totally work. It feels well-built and I'm really looking forward to using it. I'll update this later if anyone wants to know how it works with my bike...
UPDATE - I've been using it and it's great. It works great with my bike - and I think it would work with any bike. My kids love it. I've even stuffed my son in it and it was fine. It's easy to ride with, it fits through all the spaces my bike fits through. I've ridden my bike with and without it and feel no difference - it's really great. We love it. At first I was taking the wheels off, folding it up and keeping it in its box for ease in storing it. Now I just fold it up and leave the wheels on - it fits standing up on end right next to our bikes. Couldn't be happier!

(More customer reviews)The trailer was fairly easy to put together and attach to the bike. I was disappointed to realize that the handlebars and stroller wheel have to be carried separately when using the trailer. I thought they attached then folded out of the way but they don't. The harness system did take a few tries to get adjusted so it would hold my 9 month old son somewhat comfortably. It helps to tighten the front straps under the sling seat but not tighten the back strap as much. The shoulder straps sit kind of high on my son's neck near his ears but not to the point that it seems to bother him. There is no head recess to allow room for my son's helmet when biking. The inside pockets/drink holders are a nice feature for older children. The trailer is easy to pull when I am biking - the extra weight is barely noticeable especially on flat surfaces. I also enjoy inline skating but don't recommend this model for that or jogging. The stroller wheel does not roll very smoothly or as fast as I would like and the assemble rattles a lot when going a good pace. I had to keep lifting the wheel up to enjoy the outing. (I did order the Mark III for skating and it rolls smoothly in the stroller mode but I was disappointed with the quality for the higher price.) The trailblazer is a good trailer for the price if you don't plan to use the stroller feature very often.

After a long search i settled on the Quick N EZ Double Bicycle Trailer from InStep. Packaging was good. Assembly took me around 20 minutes as most of the trailer is pre assembled. No assembly tool required. We just need to lift up the side rails, slide in the tires, bring the tow forward. Installing the connector on the bike took another 10 minutes. I have Shwinn S25.The only thing missing on my trailer was the desired psi of the tires as they come deflated. As per the manual there should be psi ratings on the tires side. I guess the sticker was missing on the ones that i got. Anyways, i just went online and looked at the various instep manuals. Desired air pressure on the tires is 20-25psi and 25psi is recommended for a smooth ride. After i assembled i took it for a ride with my son (he is 27 months old). Pulling this trailer is easy and smooth. Since its double trailer, it has three seat belt options. If you are riding with one kid, you have to use the one in the center. If you have two kids in the trailer, you can use the two side seat-belts which really helps to balance the trailer.
It comes with a handle bar and front tire attachment to use it as a jogging stroller. Its a good option, especially with the brake system but i don't need it at present.
I will rate this trailer 5 stars because of strong build and quality.

(More customer reviews)We returned InStep EZ Rider that we ordered from Amazon.com for 1 big reason...the seat was not even a seat, it was a piece of nylon held by stitching. The shoulder and crotch straps were totally ineffective. Don't bother buying the EZ Rider in effort to save $30.
Buy the Sierra. The seat is padded and supported on the bottom, the straps have padded sections and the buckles are easy to use. The details forgotten on the EZ Rider were included on the Sierra (fabric safety flag, all metal clips, more velcro, less buttons, nice rubberized stroller handle accessory).
Did I mention...spend the extra $30 and get this bike trailer. If is worth it. Look no further.
