I really enjoyed reading Frater's trilogy, and when the "Untold" came out I grabbed it up right away. Frater is a great story teller and I could have given the "Untold" 5 Stars, but her new book seems to have fallen into some of the same problems that other Zombie novels have; typos that distract from the story and make you focus on the writing rather than the characters or story.
Examples include:
"he rushed down the stars as she dragged her suitcase down the stairs."
"He could spell the sharp tang of blood,"
"In the review mirror,"
I don't know how this happens, whether Frater is too rushed to get the book done or if it is bad editing and proofing by another individual, but the integrity of the writing is harmed by these types of problems and I know some people will just stop reading when they come across not one, but multiple typos in a book.
I'll buy Frater's next books, but if I start coming into contact with too many typos, I'll be just as irritated as I was toward the end of "Untold" and may have to rethink buying in the future.
