FIXING POSITIONS: TRAILER SAILING THE WEST is an important guide to sailing in the American West, from the Pacific Northwest and Canada into Southern California and Mexico. It comes from a lifelong sailor who describes each area's geography, history, and meteorological and sailing information, with maps and charts pairing well with the author's vignettes of his own travels. Any collection strong in sailing, particular West Coast nautical libraries, will find this an important acquisition.
