(More customer reviews)If your child is an advanced reader for his or her age, you must struggle to provide challenging, entertaining, but age appropriate material for the child to read. The Animal Ark books satisfy all three criteria. We pre-read everything our 6 year old reads because of our concern about subject matter that is beyond her emotional comprehension. When I read it, this book particularly grabbed my emotions. I was caught up with the thrill of the mystery and the mental pictures of the horses thundering on the beach. It is so well written -- authors of 'adult' fiction ought to take a page from Ben Baglio.
