Made of 304 stamped stainless which is nicer than some of the chrome plated plastic ones I've seen.
The lens is also very nice and easily broken if you drop it, so be careful when removing. You can order a replacement lens.
There are 15 white LEDs and 5 red.
15 LEDs is about the minimum you need to get decent lighting, unlike some cheaper versions I have seen which only carry 12 white LEDs.
These are a cool blue and not warm color.
The lens does a decent job of refracting the light, but being LEDs the light is fairly directional and will be much more narrow focused than an incandescent which it might be replacing. Comes with the territory (LED).
I have two of these but am happy enough with them that I will actually replace the other 4 economy West Marine LED dome lights I installed in the salon (on a boat).
