There are tons of great books and DVDs about how to teach your horse reining maneuvers but I was really looking for a book about how to get into reining. This book gives great practical tips about how to get started, where to compete, pro vs non pro status, how to protect your non pro status, what to look for in a horse, signs of a show smart horse, when to upgrade your horse, common mistakes that beginners make in and out of the show ring, practical goal setting, etc. I now feel that I have a basic idea of where to start. I would love to find another book like this that goes even more in depth.
