(More customer reviews)I got the cord to allow me to have the RV connection on the easier to reach, back end of the hitch instead of the side of the pickup bed. Got the unit (speedy delivery as usual), plugged it in, and plugged in a 7-way tester... nothing.
Fiddled with it (wiggling connectors etc) and still no lights on the tester. Pulled it out and tested continuity in the cable with a multimeter and didn't find any problems. Figured it had to be the connectors not making good contact so I got needle nose pliers and bent everything a little. Plugged it in and all is well.
For my application, a 4ft cord would have been enough but this will stay attached to the hitch so I'll just route it the long way.
