(More customer reviews)We have an XTerra trailer we purchased at Costco because we simply can't afford a high end one. However, my biggest complaint was the clamp on the XTerra. Not only did it scratch the heck out of our paint, was hard to use, and regularly came lose, but when I bought a new bike with disc brakes it no longer fit on my bike.
This product solved our problems! It's literally a bolt on part...remove the old attachment and spring, slide this in, tighten the nut and it's done. I then ordered two of the Burley hitches, one for each bike:

Best money I ever spent for this trailer. Now my wife and I can move it between bikes with a simply cotter pin. Tows better (no bouncing), easier to attach/detach, and an all around pleasure to use.

This safety feature allows the trailer to stay upright even when you lay your bike on its side. In the right machine, this connector can stretch up to 6-Feet.
